Taking the City by Storm
Well it's been a busy two days! Yesterday I went to my first British Fantasy Writing class and I am somewhat proud and disappointed to say I'm not the nerdiest one there! We learned a lot, and I am really looking forward to the weeks to come with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings! Then our class decided to venture on the Tube to find a bookstore. A couple hours later and we hadn't found a single book store, but we did enjoy getting lost for a bit, because no matter how lost you get if you find a tube stop you can always get back!
After that adventure there was a party for us at Imperial College of London! It was pretty fun, we sat outside and enjoyed the rare beautiful London weather! Then a group of us decided to take another stab at the Tube and found ourselves in gorgeous Westminster at night! We walked all through Big Ben, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey. We kept walking along the water and made it near the London Eye, which is stunning at night!

This morning was absolutely perfect! I woke up around 9 and walked the extraordinarily short 3 blocks to Kensington Gardens. I wove my way in and out the incredible pathways and found myself at the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. I didn't bring my camera, because I was trying to look less touristy today, but I found myself a beautiful spot next to the water and sat for about half an hour, just breathing in the beauty of London and snuck a shot of this swan with my phone!
Since I am finally feeling better I had a delicious Brie and Tomato baguette toasted for lunch, it was delightful! Then I went to my second class, where we learned about Beowulf, which I really didn't like! Oh well, tomorrow it's King Arthur!

Then we hopped back on the Tube to Piccadilly Circus for some dinner! We ate at a pub, and I got the Roast Beef platter of the day with Yorkshire pudding!
All of the sides were so moist and scrumptious, but I might not have finished all the roast beef, it was just too much food!

Right when we walked out of the pub there was a giant Brazilian protest going on! Not entirely sure what is was about, mostly wanting more money for education I think!

Then we went for another walk towards The London Eye and Big Ben! We wandered around for awhile in the nice weather and then ended up back in Piccadilly for some Gelato! All in all a Fantastic day!
Pictures from this tomorrow, too tired to get it sorted out now!
Love and miss you to anyone who I know that is reading this!
