I kid you not I think today is Tuesday...maybe Wednesday, but Thursday? IMPOSSIBLE!
After a very awesome busy drawn out first week I felt like I was in hyper speed this week!
Monday was unfortunately a busy work day! We had a huge essay due this week so I spent a lot of time working on that! We finally took a dinner break and on our walk out we ran into Kate Moss doing a photo shoot! It was literally less than a block from our dorm, and it was totally messing up traffic :)
She is gorgeous in person, but I really don't know anything about her at all, oh well!
Then because it was Monday we went back to My Old Dutch, the world's greatest pancake place, where I once again got the Smoked Salmon dill mushroom pancake of heavenly deliciousness!
Seriously, are you guys drooling, because I am!
Then I spent the rest of the night doing homework :(
Tuesday morning I woke up and it was an incredible day at Kensington Gardens :) The overcast weather looked beautiful from my bench at the Round Pond. I am making my way around every bench in the gardens, I think I can hit them all in the next month!
Finally I have checked something off of Jaclyn's London List, Cupcakes! The Buttercup Cupcake shop is literally a 2 minute walk from me, and even on the same street! I thoroughly enjoyed my Banana Split cupcake, it was moist and chocolaty and of course it had SHPRINKLES!!!
Then after class we did some more homework and then we were craving American food, so we grabbed Burgers at Byron's! Super awesome burger with Bleu Cheese, my fave! We went out for a bit, then called it a night!
Wednesday morning I did NOT go to Kensington Gardens, and yes I went through withdrawal. My friend Kellie wanted to check out a French Bakery, so we went early in the morning for a chocolate croissant and it was scrumptious!
After class we tried to find a graphic art museum, but we got lost and never made it! We got back on the tube toward Victoria and ate some amazing Turkish food at Wilton's Cafe! Falafel reminded me of Israel, even though it was definitely not as good as it is there!
We stopped at another French bakery to get some dessert. I tried a Nougat cookie solely for the purpose of reenacting the scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where Augustus Gloop eats Nougat and Caramel :)
WICKED TIME! So it was only my third time seeing it :) It's such a well done musical that it is always worth seeing! I did keep myself from tearing up, but For Good always gets to me!
This morning we woke up early and our class took a field trip to the Strawberry Hill Gothic Castle, which was the focus of Horace Walpole's Castle of Otranto, which we read for class! The Castle was gorgeous, and was in Richmond, which is a beautiful town where our central campus is located!
We stayed a bit after hanging out with the professor and it was fun! Then Kara, Emily and I ventured to Oxford Street to do some shopping! We looked at a bunch of souvenirs and I bought a cute London bag for 5 pounds so I could carry my water bottle with me, it's a hassle trying to keep track of everything!
We finally found a salad place for dinner! We were CRAVING healthy food, eating out for every meal gets old very quickly! I had a delicious chicken and avocado salad with some tea :)
We stopped into Harrod's just to check it out, and I of course felt very out of place! They were having a sale which means instead of an arm and a leg, paying out your nose will do just fine!
Now it is time to start packing because I leave for Paris tomorrow!!! Can't wait to share some pictures of the Eiffel Tower and all of my Parisian adventures!
