My Crazy Week of Celebrity Stalking, Food Devouring and Bucket Listing

Blog: my crazy week of Celebrity Stalking, Food Devouring and bucket listing

Wow time literally could not be moving any faster. This week was such a blur! I can't believe all that I have accomplished on this trip and how much I have left to do in such a short time!
Monday morning i woke up early and my friend Megan and I finally got to go to the Muffin Man. The Muffin man was a restaurant that was the staple of my diet when I was in London the first time! My best friend Alexis and I absolutely loved their scones and it was a stones throw away from our hotel. its just a few minutes away from my dorm and it was quite worth the extra walk. The scones were fantastic and I don't know why I haven't been going every day!

Monday was my first day of photography class. I am really excited to learn all of the ins and outs of my camera and hopefully take some beautiful shots before I leave!
After class we went to My Old Dutch for our Monday pancake fix. This week I tried something new (pause for jaw drop moment) I got Strawberries and Cream Poffertjes in honor of Wimbledon! I had no idea what Poffertjes were and I love strawberries so I went with it! Turns out they were tons of miniature pancakes. They were adorable! I didn't even really miss my smoked salmon pancake that much… Anyway after that we went to Imperial College for a welcome party which was nice.

My friend Katie and I had made a plan that night to do some research and figure out how hard it would be to meet Daniel Radcliffe. Turns out, it was not hard at all! We went right up to the stage door and only waited about an hour. When he walked out of the stage door he walked right up to me and said "Oh, How to Succeed" (I was wearing my How to Succeed in Business Shirt) and then I said "Yes, it was my Favorite Show Ever" and he said "Thanks Very Much" and then I hyperventilated and went to cloud nine and all that jazz. He is seriously so nice and so cute and so perfect and HE TALKED TO ME. So yeah. Glad we got that settled.

Tuesday I woke up and went to our first class photo shoot. We walked around the South Bank and the Tate Modern. It was actually pretty difficult because we had to shoot everything on Manual and we had a long list of requirements and she only gave us five minutes before moving on to the next spot. Here are a few of my favorites.

Tuesday night we went to dinner at Ned's Noodle Box, which was like an Asian Piada.

It was really good, and then we got on the London Eye! The views were spectacular and it was crazy to see London from so high up!

Obviously after such a long journey on a roller coaster, some Gelato was necessary :)
Wednesday we went into class and edited our pictures, the professor is French and she just kept saying out of focus all day, she's tough! I am definitely going to need some more practice before she says anything super nice.
After class my friends Katie, Jason, Megan and I went to The World's End movie premiere. It was so cool to see all the stars coming down the Blue Carpet (I know that's weird but I think it was special for the movie). I got Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's autographs, so I was a happy camper!

We got some amazing crepes for dinner and called it a night!

Thursday we did some critiquing in photo class then walked around the Victoria and Albert Museum, the photography exhibit was super cool.
After class Emily, Kara and I found the Kensington Creperie and had a splendid lunch that we finished off by splitting a Cookie Monster sundae. Wowza that got devoured pretty quickly!

The to do list is getting slowly checked off so in the afternoon we went to the British Museum. I got to see the Rosetta Stone and one of the statues from Easter Island. There was a lot of really cool Egyptian sculptures and a very interesting exhibit about how much medicine the average person takes in their lifetime.

For dinner my grandparents had been trying to convince me to go to their favorite London restaurant, Topo Gigio.  Turns out after walking for a bit through an extremely sketchy area of strip clubs, the restaurant closed down 2 years ago. Oh well, we found a delicious Italian restaurant, farther away from the sex streets obviously. I had some awesome risotto.
Then we went to O'neils for some live music!

The bartender had a watermelon on his head so he let me try it on! Super cute right?
After Dad saw my watermelon, he face timed me with this! Pretty sure we're related...

This morning we woke up early to climb to the top of St Pauls, but the weather was crappy so we postponed and got a nice breakfast instead. Scones and tea? Obviously!

Now I'm packing for my incredible upcoming weekend in Dublin!

Well when I originally wrote this I was packing, now I am sitting in my room because unfortunately my flight was cancelled :( After quite a few phone calls, we have sorted most things out, quite a few things got ruined for the weekend. But that's life! We went to get dinner, and this was on the wall.

After dinner, my friend Megan reminded me that it was Friday, which means we should go to Hummingbird Bakery for buy one get one! This was the greatest idea ever, and almost made up for the day! We got Red Velvet and Black Bottom, and we each ate half AMAZING. Seriously good cupcakes!

Now I'm off to bed so I can wake up in time to get on the bus at 3am to get to the airport for our 640am flight! Woohoo! Dublin Tomorrow!!!
Love Alexa
